Hinduism

What practice or belief of Hinduism was the hardest for you to understand? Why? Which was easiest for you to understand? Why?

Nothing in the Hinduism religion was really the hardsest to understand, or the easiest. But I guess the hardest one is death, because I mean how do you know if you were really reborn, and how do you know if you reach their God.

Hinduism is a very interesting religion. They have many different gods for different things, but their main god is Brahma:the creator. They believe that life is a cycle that keeps going. They have many traditions that have to do with marriage, death, and birth. I think this is one of the most interesting religion we have learned about so far.

I think the hardest thig for me to understand was all the gods, because if I had to remember all those gods, I probably wouldn't be able to do it. Many hindus have lots and lots of practice and they are taught from when they are very little. I think the easist thing to understand was that they have "sacred" animals and they don't kill or eat them. Many people that I know belive in that too.

The idea of reincarnation was diffucult for me to understand. It is a way different belief from christianity. Because in Christianity you only get one shot at making it to heaven and in reincarnation you get many oppertuinities.

In Hinduism, one of the hardest things to understand was death. They believe if they messed up or did something wrong, they get reincarnated into an animal like a bird, cat, etc. or even insects like spiders, flys, etc. So they do not kill any kinds of living things. But how do you know if you really do get reincarnated ? And if they don't..what happens after that? Do they get to see God at all? Or do they have to stay an animal if it never dies?

I also agree with JG with the Gods, actually. Because it would be hard to memorize all of the Gods.

The belief in many different gods in Hinduism is the hardest for me to understand. This is because I have been taught that there is one God since the first time I went to Sunday School. The practice of praying to a shrine in your home was the easiest for me to understand because we have a cross that we sometimes look at when we pray. I think that praying to a shine that represents one of their gods is easy to understand because they are praying to someone and are very respectful to a shrine that represents that someone.

I agree with N.L.E. I don't think that anything in the Hindu religion was too difficult to understand. I think that death is kind of confusing as well because, how fo you really know if you are reborn?

Hinduism is a very old religion. Hindu families usualy have a shrine in their houses and I think that is a great way to learn your religion. Also the hindu people have temples for a special god or goddess. They treat the statue like a real person. they even bathe it in milk and feed it real food. THey know it want eat it but I think it is very cool that they love and restect their gods that much. I think their traditions for birth, marriage, and death is very interesting because they have been pasted down for years, decades and maybe even centuries.

The hardest belife to understand for me was dharma. i think this was the hardest because i belive when you die you go to heaven even if you did not do something right on earth you. But hindus belive that if you do something bad then you go back onto earth and live again. the simplest one was moksha because it is like heaven.

I agree with n.l.e. because I do not understand how you could be reborn. I understand that when you die, your spirit may go somewhere, but how would you know about your past lives or that you are reborn? I also agree that it would be hard to know when you have reached Moksha.

I agree with zt because they get lots of chances to reach "nirvana" for us we only get one chance and if we don't make it to heaven we either go to pergatory or hell but I don't think that we will go to hell if we really truly love God!
