Buddhism - cause of suffering

Compare Buddhist concept of the cause of suffering to your own idea of what causes suffering. Do you agree with their idea? Why or why not?

Buddhism has a different way of thinking about suffering than many people. They think that suffering is because of desire or want for something. I think that is is interesting because I haven't really thought of it like that before.

I agree with the belief that suffering is caused by Greed because at the root a problem it always is for a selfish reason.
An example of this is when people kill a family member so they can have there life insurance.

I kind of think the same way as the Buddism's concept of suffering, because it does make sense. It is caused from want or desire. I do agree with their idea.

They think that suffering comes from wanting or desire, in a way I can relate to that but what I believe is that suffering comes from adam and eve. Because they disobeyed God and they cuased suffering and death for the whole world.

In buddhism there are many people who have different belifs but the most common is that people believe that suffering comes from wanting or desire.

I agree, with JG. I think that suffering can be somewhat from desire. But I do believe that Adam and Eve made us have suffering.

In Buddhism, suffering is caused by greed. Because some people want more than they need, and some do have more than what they need. But it's okay if you're rich, just make sure to give away to the poor and help out in the world. Buddhists try to be as kind and not want more than they have...which is what Buddha tried to teach and that's how they say he lived his life, to live in the middle class.

Disire is the cause of suffering acording to the Buddhism people. They think that if you stop wanting you will stop the siffering in your life.

I would have to agree with AMc becuse greed is a very big part of suffering, your actions can always affect someone else. Suffering is a very horrible thing, but it's a part of life, sadly.

I agree with B.M.W that suffering comes from desire of wanting and we need to limit this in our lives.
